Ewe Year Glasses: Deer jawbone glasses from Emma Montague (EWG is back!)
Sheep-related frames eluded us for our annual Ewe Year Glasses post so we stretched the ovine boundaries just a little... check out Emma Montague's deer jawbone eyewear, above.
This is EWG's first post in many, many weeks, following relocation, regrouping and a planned forthcoming rejuvenation of the site. Happy New Year!!

Lunettes London featuring 1980s Anglo American big yellow frames
Lunettes London offers probably one of the best value destinations on the web to purchase exciting genuine eyewear.
Here we feature some pictures from its latest shoot, but the final picture comes from the Lunettes London ASOS Marketplace: a pair of Anglo American vintage yellow oversized frames.
While big frames are without doubt on the up, this pic shows we have some way to go before we match the 1980s - only £48!!

London Olympics 2012 #3: Tia Hellebaut in Oakley, Mo Farah and Usain Bolt
Our last Olympics post, a week later... EWG was lucky enough to be at the final evening of athletics last Saturday. Obviously, seeing Usain Bolt in the 4x100m men's relay and, in particular, Mo Farah winning the 5000m, was unbelievable, but there aren't many spectacles in track and field. Luckily we spottted Tia Hellebaut, the Belgian high-jumper, on the big screen in her red Oakleys, above, to give us the excuse of sharing a few more photos from the night...

London 2012 Olympics #1: smiles and shades
EWG was lucky enough to go to the penultimate night of the Olympics and got there early to take advantage of sunny skies and sunglasses. So here are couple of the lovely smiley London 2012 volunteers on the walk from West Ham into the Olympic Park. Top, some flowery Ray-Bans, then some strong mirrored aviators...

Brixton Village #4: Quince is back in black flattops
EWG's trip to Brixton is one of only a few forays into streetstyle photography. Most of our pictures are taken by others; only occasionally do we take our own.
So it's all the more surprising for me to stop this guy on 5th Avenue, only for him to remember me from a while back when I'd asked to snap him in his glasses once before.
Both times Quince Garcia is wearing super-stylish specs that don't break the bank - this flat-top frame above cost him just £5.
His previous appearance here saw him wearing printed blue wayfarers...
Quince, together with Julien Bernard-Grau, launches Roadworks Magazine, all about urban arts and culture, this Thursday... subscribe here

Brixton Village #3: Kirk Originals Beam in green on Meriem
Meriem wears a wonderful frame from the Beam collection at Kirk Originals, whose Sale at the flagship Conduit Street store in London ends tomorrow - Saturday 22 July (70% off some stuff so quick, quick, quick).
Look out for Meriem in her Kirk shades in a separate post soon. Like many people with Kirk Orginals specs, she's a fanatic so has >1 pair.
Footnote: Meriem works round the corner from Kirks' on Heddon Street for Momo, where EWG remembers a Roberto Cavalli Eyewear launch in (about) 2002. Lots of snakes on the temples... I think I met someone from S Club 7.
UPDATE 21-7-12: It was 2001 and it was Liberty, later known as Liberty X, not S Club.

Brixton Village #2:Paul in Eyebobs tortoiseshell and bamboo glasses from the V&A shop
My second shot from my Saturday afternoon around Brixton, London, and here's Paul who looks great in these striking tortoiseshell framed and yellow bamboo templed glasses, which he bought from the shop at the Victoria & Albert Museum. They're by Minneapolis-based Eyebobs. They cost £75 from the V&A or $85 direct from Eyebobs. Also available on Glasseswebb here...

Mykita and Bernhard Willhelm SS2013 sunglass-visor hybrid
Visor or a sunglass? Well a bit both really, from Mykita and Bernhard Willhelm. This is Daisuké and it's made from Mykita's Mylon material. Note that the temples still fold and there's a nosepiece too. Available in gold, green and black from Mykita stores, selected opticians and concept shops.
