Garrett Leight sunglasses as worn by Shiva Shabani

Fashion stylist Shiva Shabani wears Garrett Leight California Optical sunglasses. I'm guessing at the specific model, but I think it's Rialto LNA in demi-blonde.

Garrett Leight is son of Larry Leight, he who co-founded Oliver Peoples. Look out for another post on GLCO soon - it's a great collection!

Massive respect to R3SP3CT for the photo of Shiva.

One year on: Top 10 most-read Eye Wear Glasses posts

Happy birthday to Eye Wear Glasses, which turns one today. We kick off the week with a list of the 10 most-read posts of the past 12 months. They're not necessarily the best that we've featured, and celebrities take more than their fair share of the speccy limelight, but they are what you, collectively, looked at most:

10

Michelin-starred chef Heston Blumenthal's wears bespoked Bugatti glasses...

9

Two celebrity actor/actor-musicians clearly pull in more hits than one celeb chef.

It's Shirley Manson and Elijah Wood in Oliver Peoples' 2010 ad campaign...

8
Is La Roux's Elly Jackson a new eyewear icon? Probably, yes, a little.

7
Well at this rate I can't see this list being anything but celebs. Here we have Usher. Wearing Carreras...

6

Phew, people are interested in EWG for the eyewear, not just for random celebs who occasional wear it.

Here is Christina Centenera, who looks like she might be a celeb but is actually a fashion editor, wearing Super Flat Top sunglasses...

Oliver Peoples 2010 sunglasses: Wilder than most

Oliver Peoples 2010 sunglasses: Wilder
There's something about these latest sunglasses from Oliver Peoples that kind of pimps every other Wayfarer-style frame. They're shinier, darker, slightly Batmanish, mean looking, and the detail in the corners looks more detailed than most detail in the corners usually looks. These are Wilder from Oliver Peoples and they're good.

Balmain with Oliver Peoples limited edition 2010 sunglasses

French design house Balmain has teamed up with Oliver Peoples to create this great pair of shades. I love the the way the eyeshapes are so separate from the brow bar - almost floating.

Oliver Peoples 2010 ads featuring Elijah Wood and Shirley Manson

Oliver Peoples 2010 campaign featuring Elijah Wood and Shirley Manson
Oliver Peoples 2010 campaign featuring Elijah Wood and Shirley Manson
Oliver Peoples 2010 campaign featuring Elijah Wood and Shirley Manson I'm loving Oliver Peoples 2010 campaign already. It features Shirley Manson (lead singer of Garbage and star of the Terminator TSCC TV series) and Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings, Eternal Sunshine... etc).

As usual from Oliver Peoples, the eyewear's top notch. The styles from top to bottom: Barry and Sacha, Dannie, Rees and Riley (with the clip).

Is the clip making a comeback? I hope so - extremely practical.

Paul Smith glasses - great acetates, made in Japan

Josh wears Paul Smith 294 glasses - you can tell how great the acetate on these frames are. Made in Japan. The current Paul Smith eyewear collection from Oliver Peoples includes more great acetate colourways - I particularly like the Pirroni in grey smoke.

Oliver Peoples glasses suit anybody - and here's the proof

Have I just doubled, quadrupled even, the number of pictures on Eye Wear Glasses?

Big thanks to Dafna Talmon who's photographed hundreds of people wearing her fantastic Oliver Peoples Tycoon glasses. Brownie point for those who can spot the celebrities.

Dafna's organising Markivim - Hebrew for wearing glasses - "a public urban-interactive exhibition, that will combine aspects of fashion, social networking, online sharing, loss of self and limitless exhibitionism..."
